Portfolio - Wiley Elementary
I chaired the PTA committee to redesign the Wiley Elementary International Magnet School website during the 2004-2005 school year. The new design followed W3C standards for XHTML Transitional and utilized Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for presentation.
We surveyed teachers and sought staff input to create a site that was visually interesting and user friendly. The site features easy navigation, a lean CSS layout, and low bandwidth for fast loading pages. Also of key importance was the ability to easily add and update site content.
In Fall of 2006, I updated the site with new graphics and it now validates for XHTML Strict. under W3C standards. I currently provide site updates and maintenance as needed.
